Abstract

PT Adaro Indonesia, a leading coal mining firm, has carried out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, including the Menanti Laburan Tourism Park in South Kalimantan. This study intends to evaluate the project's influence on sustainable development and community welfare. The study assesses the efficacy of the CSR initiatives through interviews, focus groups, and Social Return on Investment (SROI) analysis. The findings emphasise the park's biodiversity, carbon sequestration potential, and socio-economic advantages. The Sustainability Compass framework demonstrates its impact on nature conservation, economic growth, social harmony, and well-being. The study highlights the significance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in promoting sustainable development through social innovation. The Menanti Laburan Tourism Park Programme showcases economic feasibility, social advantages, and environmental responsibility, positioning it as a benchmark for corporate social responsibility projects.
